Hi all,
* vpn-server-node: 2.2.10 [1]
This update makes sure that when the OpenVPN server is version 2.5 the
issued IPv6 addresses to VPN clients is the same as it was with OpenVPN
2.4 servers. Changes to the issued IPs can have consequences for
(reverse) DNS, so it is a good idea to not change this during the life
time of eduVPN/Let's Connect! 2.x.
With OpenVPN 2.4 servers the issued VPN client addresses would start at
::1000, with OpenVPN 2.5 at ::2.
We'll run into OpenVPN 2.5 servers in the latest version of Fedora and
the upcoming Debian 11.
#####
To make sure all updates are properly applied (on your single VPN
server, if you run multiple servers, see [2]):
$ sudo vpn-maint-update-system
And reboot when necessary for kernel/system library updates).
#####
As usual, let us know if you have any feedback, questions or remarks!
Regards,
François
