[ProjectSCZ-FIAM] Roll out of new SCZ version, and 2 successful pilots (Azure, eduGAIN)

Hi all.

We’re currently testing an update to the SCZ FIAM proxy; unless in the last moments something pops up we can’t fix, we expect to update the https://comanage.pilot.scz.lab.surf.nl/registry/ environment to version 0.6 coming Monday. There are a lot of technical fixes that might be interesting to the technical people in pilots. Included:


  *   Added Microsoft LiveID as a guest IdP
  *   Added Orcid as guest IdP
  *   Add support for delegated authentication from a browser to a non-web client (see PAM Module)
  *   Allow access from all eduGAIN IdPs

Apart from this, this week the VUmc-SCZ-pilot partner celebrated success after connecting their VM-environment on Azure with the SCZ FIAM proxy.

And just today our pilot partners at CWI confirmed successful authentication of their Italian partners to their SP<https://vre4eic.project.cwi.nl/gender2/p/gender_study.swinb>, using eduGAIN.

Internally, our team has finished our document describing the status (outlook, competitive analysis, cost estimation, cost funding proposal, level of demand, projected usage, risks etc) of the service development, which is supposed to include all information necessary for involved SURF-managers, SURF executives, the SURF Program Advisory board (representatives of institutions), slated for the end of December, and finally the CSC (another board of representatives of institutions) to decide on a Go / No go for the next level of service development (which would entail getting it production ready).
